BLANCHARDVILLE — The Blanchardville Public Library will be hosting a program on Feb. 22 called “Writing Personal Essay with Rebecca Jamieson.” The event will be at 10 a.m. at the library, 208 Mason Street, Blanchardville.

Jamieson will go over how to write a stirring essay from the raw materials of one’s own life, desires, and curiosities. She’ll discuss what tools can be used to transform the mundane into the transcendent. She’ll dive into the rich realm of the personal essay, looking at pieces from other writers, deepening one’s craft through guided exercises, and drawing fresh inspiration for personal work.
