MONROE - Parents can mark their calendars for the annual Santa Reception on Dec. 2 immediately after the Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade leaves Monroe Middle School at 6 p.m. and heads downtown and around the Square.
The stars of the parade are Santa and Mrs. Claus. After Santa and Mrs. Claus have a few moments to catch their breath, children and their parents may visit with them in the lobby of Wisconsin Bank and Trust at 1717 10th St. in Monroe.
While waiting to have their complementary picture taken with Santa, children may visit several craft tables to make fun items to take home. Carolers also will be on hand to set the mood for the season. Mrs. Claus, a special surprise friend of Santa's and area dairy queens will be making the rounds throughout the evening.
There also will be hot chocolate and treats for all, as well as a small gift for each child to take home. Meet Santa Dec. 2
