MONROE - Maurices, a specialty retail store, celebrated the anniversary of its store in the West Court Mall, by awarding $500 to a local non-profit organization.
"We believe in giving back to the communities we are a part of and are thrilled to announce the local non-profit organization who will receive this donation," said Connie Miller, store manager. "Customers determined the charity by stopping in our store and voting during July. It was exciting to see the response from the community and the number of individuals who came out. The organization that received the most nominations was Green County Humane Society, which provides a valuable service to our community. We are happy to offer this additional support to their effort," said Miller.
