MAHS meeting to discuss Kelch museum update

Architect’s design of the new construction of Phase III of the Kelch Aviation Museum at Brodhead Airport.

MONTICELLO — The Monticello Area Historical Society (MAHS) will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 27 in the Zwingli UCC, 416 East Lake Avenue, Monticello. 

Following a short business meeting, Pat Weeden, the Executive Director of the Kelch Aviation Museum at Brodhead Airport, where construction is nearly complete on Phase III of a new museum campus will present the program: Celebrating the “Golden Age of Aviation.” 

The museum features 15 vintage aircraft from the late 1920s and early 30s, along with vintage cars and aviation artifacts, all in a modern and family friendly atmosphere. 

Weeden will bring photos and videos, along with a history of the museum and plans for the future.

This is a free presentation and will start about 7:15 pm.  Come join us; the Public is welcome to attend both activities.
