MONTICELLO — The Monticello Area Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22 in the Zwingli UCC Lounge, 416 E. Lake Ave., Monticello. 

Following a short business meeting, Mark Finnegan of Vets Roll will present a program on the veterans honor trip to Washington D.C. Vets Roll annually transports hundreds of senior veterans and “Rose the Riveters” to Washington D.C. via a caravan of chartered buses. This is a free presentation and will start about 7:15 p.m. The public and former Vets Roll participants are welcome to attend.
