MADISON - Marie Mahaney, Brodhead, and Laura Paulson, New Glarus, were invited to attend State Government Day on Thursday, Feb. 7, in Madison. The event was organized by the initiative known as All CTSO, which is a partnership of Wisconsin career and technical student organizations.

State Government Day brings together state-level officers of six career and technical organizations to listen, meet with, and ask questions of legislators and government officials on career and workforce topics. Following a tour of the State Capitol and large group events in the North Hearing Room, the students met in small groups to meet with their state legislators.

The six CTSOs are DECA, an association of marketing students; FBLA, an association of business students; FCCLA, an association of family and consumer students; FFA, an association of agricultural education students; HOSA, an association of health education students; and SkillsUSA, as association of technology students. These groups help students develop civic, technical, and social skills, and a wholesome attitude about living and working.

Mahaney is state FFA reporter and Paulson is a representative for Comprehensive FCCLA.
