Monroe Arts Center mac

MONROE — From Nov. 19 through Dec. 11, Monroe Arts Center’s (MAC) 24th Annual Holiday Silent Auction will provide a wide variety of unique and one-of-a-kind treasures for holiday shopping lists.  The Auction is on display in Monroe Arts Center’s Rudd Hall, 1315 11th Street.

This year MAC’s Holiday Silent Auction will once again be completely in-person at the Arts Center. Items can be viewed during regular business hours, Tuesday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All bidding will also take place in-person this year.

This important fundraiser for MAC features hundreds of unique items donated by local artists and businesses from Monroe and the surrounding area. To assist shoppers, a catalog shopping guide listing the items by category is provided. This year’s auction categories are Original Art and Handcrafted Items, Holiday Creations, Books, Home and Garden, Toys, Sports, and Recreation, Baked Goods and Specialty Foods, Cheese and Libations, Restaurant and Specialty Dinners, Entertainment, Clothing and Jewelry, and This and That.

The auction will close on Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. with a closing celebration and special performance from Rebulu. Made up of nine musicians, Rebulu presents a soulful blend of Cuban, Puerto Rican, and African diaspora grooves topped with powerful lead and harmony vocals. Rebulu’s repertoire includes classics of the genre as well as originals that bring in elements of pop and rock with a dash of holiday spirit.
