MONROE — Monroe Arts Center is welcoming children and their families to “be our guest” at a special grand opening event where they can experience the magic of “Disney in the Afternoon.” This children’s event scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 in MAC’s Rudd Hall, is also a celebration of the renovation of Monroe Arts Center’s west wing.
Local talent will entertain with live music and songs from favorite Disney movies. There will also be vintage Disney artwork and memorabilia on display. Games, giveaways, snacks, and loads of fun are all a part of the afternoon’s festivities. Children are invited to come in their favorite Disney-themed costume.
“Disney in the Afternoon” is a program designed for children of all ages, but recommended for those over four years of age. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
This event is free of charge, but advanced ticket reservation is required. Seating is limited and reservations must be made by Aug. 21.
