Local funds seek grant applications

DARLINGTON — The Darlington Community Fund and the Darlington Excellence in Education Fund, components of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, Inc, are accepting grant applications for their annual grant cycle.

The grant cycle deadline is Oct. 15.

The Darlington Fund and the Darlington Excellence in Education Fund offer competitive grants for charitable projects or programs that provide a direct benefit to the people of Darlington as defined by the Darlington School District boundary. The Funds address needs in the arts, youth, education, historic preservation, and human services. The Fund considers applications from 501(c) 3 charitable organizations. Organizations without 501(c) 3 standing who are proposing a project with a charitable purpose may be eligible. Individuals are not eligible for community fund grants.  

Application forms can be accessed online (cfsw.org) and the correct form should be used for either education-related or community-related grants. Applications must submitted no later than 11:59 p.m., Oct. 15, 2024. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. Mailed, emailed and faxed applications are not accepted.   

Successful applicants will be notified of their awards by mail. Grants will be presented at a reception to be determined. The time and place of the reception will be announced at a future date. Grantees are asked to use their grant within 10 months of the award.
