Local churches prepare for special Christmas musical

JUDA - The combined choirs of Juda Zion and Oakley Union United Methodist churches will present the dramatic musical "Shepherds and Kings" at 1:30 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 10 in the sanctuary of the Zion Church, N2350 Church St.

Directed by Shelly Jordan, the story is about people in a present-day Italian restaurant as they seek to bring joy into the life of a customer. Members of the cast and crew are Gene Dobbins, Bob Severson Jr., Pat Daniels, Dan Pollock, Stephanie Pollock, Rachel Schneider, Abagail Schneider, Dennis Pfingsten, Kim Becker, Darlene Becker, Brian Metz, Becky Boeck, Rudy Kaderly, Kim Shields, Jean Busker, Kay Carter, Sharon Creuzer, Julie Davis, Dakota Davis, Trent Davis, Justy Roth, JoAnn Dobbins, Brian Matzke, Joyce Hoesly, Laurie McCullough, Jan Ladwig, Lisa Behnke, Judy Kaderly and JoAnn Eberle.

Additional parts will be played by members of the congregation. The children's choir, directed by Judy Kaderly, also will be a part of the program.

Both performances are open to the public. Refreshments and fellowship will follow in the church fellowship hall.

There is no admission, but free-will offerings will be accepted.
