FREEPORT - The Freeport/Stephenson County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is now assisting in the management of one of Freeport's premier attractions, Little Cubs Field. As part of that effort, the CVB is currently accepting applications for part-time volunteers at the field.
A Little Cubs Field "Coach" is the individual who will greet and assist visitors to the field. The Coach will provide information about the field and rules of usage, will assist in the gift shop and will provide visitors with information on other tourism attractions and businesses in the area.
Volunteers at the field can choose how long and how often they wish to work and will be scheduled accordingly, although two and four hour shifts are preferred. All volunteers will receive training for the position. Individuals interested in serving as a "Coach" should contact the CVB at (815) 233-1357.
