Life guarding class set to begin

MONROE - The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Red Cross Guard Start class at the outdoor pool from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, July 28-August 1. This class is for anyone 13 and 14 years old who are interested in becoming a lifeguard. The cost is $27 for residents and $34 for non-residents.

The Monroe Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Red Cross Lifeguard training class at the outdoor pool August 4-August 9. The class will meet from 8 to 11 a.m. Monday through Friday at the pool and from 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday at the Community Center. This is for anyone 15 years and older who would like to get certified to become a lifeguard. The cost is $92 for residents and $113 for non-residents.
