Library workshop helps point the way for those seeking jobs online

MONROE - Monroe Public Library is offering workshops on finding and applying for jobs online on two dates this month. The first workshop session will be from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the library and the second session, a repeat of the first, will be offered from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30.Both workshop sessions will be taught by John Harris, a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, Microsoft Certified Trainer, and a computer coach on Comcast television network airing in the Chicago area where he provides guidance on Internet searching and safety. "This is an opportunity to receive online job search training by someone who is an expert on Internet searching and who knows how to make a workshop a relaxed and fun experience," Library Director Barbara Brewer said.
