Library to host writers showcase

MONROE - The Monroe Public Library will host the Green County Writers Showcase from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21 at the library, 925 16th Ave.

The event features 16 local authors including: Catherine Blakemore, Lisa Cihlar, Sue Curran, Edward Finch, Esther J. Henry, Peter Kelly, Timothy Lostetter, Kevin McNally, Scott Nesbitt, Andy Oliver, Larry Phillips, Joanne Putnam, William Mitchell Ross, Kim Tschudy, Katlyn Weaver and Heidi Krumenauer.

The public is invited to the free event to meet local authors. The authors will have signed copies of their books available for purchase. Aspiring authors will have the opportunity to network with the local published authors.

The Driftless Area Writer's Guild will have information available about the newly formed group and how to join.

Refreshments will be available for sale.
