MONROE — The Monroe Public Library will re-open to the public beginning Wednesday, July 1 with modified hours. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and from noon until 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
Masks are required on Mondays and strongly encouraged on other days. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Social distancing should still be observed and time limited to one hour in the library.
The library will have limited capacity, as well as distancing between computer stations and seating. Plexiglass barriers have been installed at service desks and materials will continue being quarantined for 72 hours. Meeting rooms and study rooms will not be available at this time.
For staff and patron safety, staff will wear masks, regularly wash hands and use sanitizer. Disinfecting wipes and sanitizer will be available for patron use.
For patron convenience, curbside pickup of materials will continue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursdays. To request items for curbside pickup or for additional questions, call the library at 608-328-7010.
