Library programs set

MONROE - There will be three separate programs for children at the Monroe Public Library in April.

The first is an early literacy program for babies between the age of birth to 18 months and their parents, grandparents or caregivers. Bring a friend and join Grandma Carol, on the 1st and 4th Mondays of each month at 9 a.m. A "learning to listen" program filled with stories, rhymes and activities for toddlers 18 months to 3-years-old is held on the 1st and 4th Mondays of each month at 10 a.m.

Another program is Preschool Storytime, a story and activity program filled with books, songs, rhymes and fun for children 3 to 6 years old. This program is held at 10 a.m., on the 1st and 4th Thursday of each month.

Other children's events include: an April 4 event entitled "Kite Fun"; an April 7 progam entitled "New, New, New Books;" an April 11 event entitled "Rhymes for Fun"; an April 14 event entitled "Hat Come Back;" an April 18 event entitled "Going on a Picnic"; an April 21 event entitled "Earth Day, Hooray;" an April 25 event entitled "Flowers for Mom;" and an April 28 program entitled "May Day Surprise."
