Library auction set

ALBANY - The Albertson Memorial Library Board, library staff and members of the Friends of the Albertson Memorial Library will sponsor the fourth annual Silent Auction, beginning Thursday, Sept. 15.

Baskets and other auction items will be displayed at the library starting on Thursday, Sept. 15, and bidding will close at noon on Saturday, Oct. 1, during the Albany Fall Festival.

Businesses and individuals wishing to make a donation toward the auction may do so by Tuesday, Aug. 23. Donors may contribute individual items, gift certificates and/or themed baskets. For questions regarding donations, contact Kara at (608) 862-3491 or Jenny at (608) 862-3430.

Money raised by the silent auction will go toward the purchase of new computers for the library. The computers are used by library patrons of all ages for a variety of reasons, including job search/applications, school reports, college applications, email and library-provided classes.
