Lenten programs include book club

MONTICELLO - On Wednesdays during Lent, Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello will host Book-it with a Brown Bag from noon until 1 p.m. lead by Ellen Williams-Masson. Ellen will share pictures of her tour of Israel along with the study of the book "The Bible and The Land: Uncover the Ancient Culture, Discover Hidden Meanings."

Wednesday evening Lenten services Feb. 24 to March 24 begin with a light soup supper at 6:15 p.m. followed by worship at 7 p.m.

Beginning Feb. 21 and continuing through March 28, at 9:15 a.m., the pastor's Lenten sermon series at Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello will be "Standing Firm", based on Paul's declaration to "put on the armor of God."
