MONTICELLO - The Monticello American Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit 256 meeting will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Monticello Community Center, 316 East Coates Ave.
The meeting will have a breakfast casserole and bingo party. All Legion and Auxiliary members and their guests are asked to bring canned and/or boxed food items or cleaning supplies to be delivered at the Green Cares Food Distribution Center. Everyone is also asked to bring a $3-to-$5 wrapped item for bingo prizes.
Attendees may help decorate box containers that will be placed in Monticello businesses the first week in December. The containers will be used for Christmas gift and personal care products benefiting hospitalized Veterans at the Veterans Hospital, Madison.
