Learning to Give Back
Parkside organize products for shoppers

Parkside Elementary School’s store is run by third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students. The students select products to sell, add prices to the products, advertise and staff the school store on days it is open. The goal is to teach students about generosity, so each year 80% of profits are given to charity. In the last two years, Parkside has given more than $1,000 to organizations like Parkside’s PTO, Jacob’s SWAG and the Monroe Youth Center. This year, donations will go to Parkside’s PTO and St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
