BELMONT - The Lafayette County Genealogical Society will hold its July meeting during the field trip to the historic First Capitol of the Wisconsin Territory in Belmont Sunday.
Attendees should meet at 1 p.m. outside the Lafayette County Historical Museum in Darlington and carpool from there. There is no admission charge to the museum.
The tour will begin at 1:45 p.m. with the guide and will continue as a self-guided tour after that. The First Capitol site is north of Belmont at 19101 County G, west of Belmont Mound State Park.
