DARLINGTON - Nearly 60 youth from Lafayette County will participate in the 2009 Wisconsin State Fair, held in West Allis, from August 6-16. Lafayette County will have youth participating in the clothing delegation, dairy show, beef show, swine show, sheep show and the youth exhibit areas.
Participants in the youth exhibit area will include: Kayla Doan, Sara Doan, Katelyn Schobert, Jordin Wedig, Holly Voigts, and Brandi Voigts of Belmont; Cora Carpenter, Darby Fitzsimons, Jenna Hole, Ashley Martin, Chelsea Fortin, Tasha Kelly and Robert Martin of Darlington; Shane O'Neill of Benton; Brianna Leahy and Will Burgess of Shullsburg; Nathan Thomas of Argyle; and Kaitlyn Larson, Adam Moore and Chaesta Shager of Gratiot/South Wayne area. These youth have their exhibits on display from August 6-16 in the Wisconsin Exposition Center.
Fifteen Lafayette County youth will be exhibiting their dairy animals at Wisconsin State Fair Dairy Show, August 5-9. The dairy exhibitors are Katie Wallenhorst, Ashley Sullivan, Breana and Rebeka Dieter of Cuba City; Shane Nodolf of Belmont; Jeremy Calvert, Cody Carpenter, Colton Carpenter, Carson Carpenter, Ashley Martin and Tyler Shager of Darlington; Jackie Dammen, Jeannie Dammen and Tracy Dammen of Argyle; and Alex Abraham of South Wayne/Gratiot area.
Emma Berget and Kayla Lange, both of Darlington, will represent Lafayette County at the State Fair Clothing Revue, August 13-16. Emma and Kayla and their outfits were selected as State Fair delegates at the Lafayette County Clothing Preview, held in early July.

Lafayette County swine exhibitors include: Emma Berget, Tyler Berget and Kent Miehe of Darlington; Cameron Carey and Tia Niffenegger, Belmont; Tayton Stolee, Argyle; and Tierney Reilly and Calvin Reilly, Shullsburg.
