Michael Sr. and Bernadette Kammes will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on April 8. They were married at St. Peter Damian Catholic Church in Bartlett, Ill., on April 8, 1961.
The couple has four children: Monica (Dan) Fisher, Brodhead; Mike Kammes Jr., Juda; Regina Kammes, Lake Mills; and Chris Kammes Sr., Lone Rock. They also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
An open house hosted by their children will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 17 at the Juda Community Center. The couple requests no gifts.
