MONROE - Justice for a Cure, a program started as a breast cancer awareness and fundraising program to support Susan G. Komen for the Cure, will be holding various events throughout Green County until the end of October.
Bartels Tap and Company, 1012 17th Ave., will hold a pink fundraiser for the entire month of October. Specially designed pink ribbon T-shirts and other items will be available for sale.
Pink Day will be held on Friday, Oct. 19 at Pinnow Pharmacy, 1028 Center Ave., Brodhead. Pink ribbon T-shirts and other Susan G. Komen material will be available.
The Green County Sheriff's Office, along with the Justice Center and the Green County Courthouse, will hold a Justice for a Cure pink event on Monday, Oct. 22. The public can stop by the information stand for education material, to learn more about how they can make a different and purchase pink Komen and Justice for a Cure items. The stand will be at the Hearing Room in the Justice Center, 2841 6th St., from 10 a.m. until noon and in the Old Court Room in the courthouse, 1016 16th Ave., from 1 to 4 p.m.
Culver's, 252 8th St., Monroe, will donate 10 percent of all their sales from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23 to Justice for a Cure.
Justice for a Cure started at the Dane County Sheriff's Office and spread through law enforcement to fire departments, EMS, city, county and state governments, as well as schools, businesses and individuals. The program is now a nationally Passionately Pink for the Cure program for Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Green County will be come part of the Susan G. Komen for a Cure South Central Wisconsin services area in 2013.
