MONROE - Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2312 named Lucas E. Jordan as Eagle Scout of the Year.
"Luke Jordan is well deserving of this recognition, and his family should be very proud of him," said VFW Post 2312 Commander Jeff Perkins.
Jordan, who is a student at Juda High School, is a member of Boy Scout Troop 105. As VFW Post 2312 Eagle Scout of the Year, Jordan received a check for $100.
His entry form was forwarded on to the state and national VFW organizations. The VFW National Scout of the Year will be awarded a $5,000 scholarship.
