Juda High School wins math meet

JUDA - Juda School District and Juda's math team announced the results of the sixth annual Six Rivers East Conference Math Meet held on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at Juda High School.

Albany, Argyle, Barneveld, Black Hawk, Monticello, Pecatonica and Juda competed with nearly 200 students attempting more than 5,000 math problems.

The math meet was organized into two levels - freshmen and sophomores were Level I and junior and seniors were Level II. Top scorers were recognized as first-team and second-team all-conference at both levels.

Level II first team top scorers were: Tyler Davis, Juda; Tabatha Davis, Juda; Justin Wiegel, Black Hawk; Morgan Adkins, Juda; Blaine Wolff, Black Hawk; David Ruegsegger, Monticello; Tessa Cushmann, Black Hawk; and Jessica Treuhardt, Argyle.

Level I first-team top scorers were: Skyler Stuckey, Juda; Sydney Woyak, Albany; Crista Hale, Juda; Allie Lent, Albany; Emily Hauri, Albany; Cakeb Novak, Black Hawk; Logan Ross, Albany; and Derrick Byrne, Juda.

Level II second-team top scorers were: Molly Marass, Juda; Logan Anderson, Albany; Katlyn Steinmann, Juda; Ryan Schmidt, Juda; Cassidy Steiner, Argyle; Fatima Itiritiphan, Argyle; Matt Reckamp, Juda; Matt Annis, Black Hawk; and Morganne Goecks, Juda.

Level I second-team top scorers were: Liz Tisch, Pecatoncia, Anthony Bender, Juda, Jacob Elmer, Albany, Megan Powers, Juda, Kari Fischer, Argyle, Megan McCallum, Black Hawk, Danielle Dieckhoff, Juda, Riley Adkins, Juda; and Nick Baum, Juda.

The meet's top performer was Tyler Davis, Juda. Juda had 16 students place in Level I and Level II All-Conference, followed by Black Hawk and Albany each placing six students.

The overall team results for the meet were: Juda High School, first place and conference champions; Black Hawk High School, second place; and Albany High School, third place.
