JUDA - The Juda FFA held its 65th annual FFA Banquet on April 27 at the Juda School. FFA members, their parents and community members attended the event.

Rudy Kaderly, Juda FFA alumni president, was awarded the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree. Rudy has served as alumni president for the past two years, has worked to increase membership and has been involved in several activities at both the local and state levels.

Marvin and Darlene Becker received the Juda FFA Friend of the FFA Award for their willingness to allow Juda FFA members the opportunity to grow pumpkins on their property and for helping with several other chapter activities.

The Star Greenhand Award went to Rachel McCullough. McCullough is a freshman FFA member who participated at the District Creed Speaking Contest and was a member of the Dairy Cattle Evaluation team that competed at both Platteville and Madison.

Molly Salzwedel won the Dekalb Award for her leadership skills and dedicated service this past year. Salzwedel has served the year as chapter secretary and was a member of the Dairy Foods team at both Platteville and Madison.

Jason Roth and Ryan Schmitt were both awarded the Star Chapter Farmer Award. Roth has filled out the proper paperwork to run for Wisconsin FFA office and Schmitt recently won first place in the Agriculture Mechanics Repair and Maintenance Proficiency Award. Both Roth and Schmitt have participated in and accomplished many other things during this past year.

Chapter officers selected to serve during the coming year are Danielle Dieckhoff, president; Kelsey Cramer, vice-president; Matt Schmitt, secretary; Jessica Crull, treasurer; Sara Jordan, reporter; Rachel McCullough, sentinel; Clayton Mahlkuch, parliamentarian; and Aurora Daniels, historian.
