Juda churches to present Christmas cantata Sunday

JUDA - For the past 20 years, the combined choirs of Juda Zion and Oakley Union churches have presented Christmas cantatas. The tradition will continue this year with a new program of "Christmas Memories." The program will be presented at 1:30 p.m., Sunday and again Dec. 20 in the sanctuary of the Juda Zion United Methodist Church, located at N2350 Church St., Juda.

Under the direction of Shelly Jordan, favorite songs have been selected from past cantatas to again tell the story of the Christ child. Also included in the performance will be a time for the audience to participate by singing their favorite Christmas carols.

Choir members are Darlene Becker, Kim Becker, Lisa Behnke, Rev. Vicki Brantmeyer, Jean Busker, Kay Carter, Sharon Creuzer, Aurora Daniels, Pat Daniels, Julie Davis, JoAnn Eberle, Joyce Hoesly, Luke Jordan, Sara Jordan, Jan Ladwig, Chip Matzke, Laurie McCullough, Jeanne Meier, Trish Miller, Dennis Pfingsten, Bob Severson and Kim Shields. The children's choir, under the direction of Aurora Daniels, will also participate. Members are Liana Daniels, Ciarrah Davis, Libby Jordan, Christopher Roth and Miah Roth.

A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow each performance. The performance is open to the public.
