JUDA - Juda captured the Division 4 Tri-State Champion Trophy for the third straight year. Over 500 students from 40 high schools in southwestern Wisconsin, eastern Iowa, and northwestern Illinois participated in the contest.
Juda was one of the smallest schools but still had four teams compete.
"We have a great group of students who support one another," said Scott Anderson, a Juda high school math teacher. "This year we took 41 students which enabled us to have four teams compete, and that is nearly half of the entire high school. Everyone worked hard and encouraged one another."
The meet consisted of individual and team competitions. This year Juda placed 9 students on the All-Academic Team. They were: Tyler Davis, Coty Knudtson, Matt Reckamp, Brianna Knudtson, Carmen Hale, Troy Allen, Luke Jordan, Cody Stuckey and Ellen Kiser.
Juda's Math Team success goes beyond UW-Platteville - they are also reigning Six River's East Conference Champions for the past two years.
