Ben and Renee (Johnson) Hansen, Orfordville, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kirby Johnson, to Travis R. Gordon, both of Charlotte, N.C.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Gary and Ruth Johnson, Monroe. She is a 2005 graduate of Parkview High School, Orfordville. The future bride is a 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelors in communications, public relations. She is a public relations manager for Red Horse Racing in the NASCAR Truck Series.
The groom-to-be is the son of Rick and Connie Gordon, Richfield, N.C. He is a 2003 graduate of North Stanley High School, N.C., and a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina with a bachelors in mechanical engineering. He plans to graduate with a MBA in the spring of 2013. The future groom is data acquisition engineer for Hendrich Motorsports, Concord, N.C. and a member of the pit crew for Jeff Gordon NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
A wedding is planned for Dec. 8, 2012 in Charlotte, N.C. A reception will be held on Dec. 22 in Monroe.
