MADISON - Local history enthusiasts should make plans now to register for the second of six Wisconsin Council for Local History regional meetings, to be conducted Saturday, August 1, at the Monticello House Restaurant in Monticello.
The Wisconsin Council for Local History is an organization composed of all local historical societies affiliated with the Wisconsin Historical Society.
Programs on tap for the regional meeting in Monticello include presentations on "The Making of a Museum in Monticello" and the "History of Cheese Making in Green County."
