ALBANY - The Albany Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting Tuesday at the museum, 119 N. Water St.
The meeting starts at 7 p.m., with the program to follow. The program will include two historians, Linda Schiesser and Kim Tschudy, who will give some tools and clues on how to begin a search of a piece of property. The presentation is titled "The Windows of History."
Tschudy has done preliminary paperwork on many properties that are now in the National Register of Historic Places, as well as author local history books. He will talk about identifying architectural styles, relating hints to the history of some buildings and how builders and/or architects can be a guide.
Schiesser has researched many families and properties in the area and collected pictures of buildings, especially within New Glarus. She will give steps on how to research a piece of property and what primary and secondary documents are available.
The meeting is open to the public, as well as becoming a member of the society. Member forms will be available.
Refreshments will be served. A free-will offering will be accepted.
