High school acappella choirs sing at Conference Honors

MONROE - Monroe High School's Acappella Choir, including Bridget Kelly, Alyssa Quinn, Alyssa Montgomery, Lindsey Buehler, Taylor Weis, Erica Hegi, Abby Kennison, Christina Wyttenbach, Eric Grau, Tyler Moser, Eric Ganshert, Eli Rucker, Michael Storey, Ian Geyer, Blake Antos, and Dylan Cleaveland, participated in the 2009 Badger Conference Honors Choir in Madison. The 16 boys and girls that went to this event practiced for multiple weeks in school and the day of from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., with a successful final performance at 7:30 p.m. directed by Lucy Thayer, and Rick Bjella. The women sang three songs, including: "Lake Isle of Inisfree" by Eleanor Day, "Gate, Gate" by Brian Tate, and "Psalm 100" by Rene Clausen.
