Alec Weaver, formerly a student in Monroe schools, has received high honors on a Duke University seventh-grade SAT or ACT exam. The seventh graders earned scores equal to or better than half of the college-bound seniors who took the test.
A Grand Recognition Ceremony will be held at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Duke University Campus in Durham, N.C. on May 19. The ceremony honors seventh-graders who have scores equal to or better than 90 percent of college-bound seniors who took the test. Only three percent of the 66,000 participants are invited to this ceremony.
Alec and his family now live in Olathe, Kansas.
