Heritage Society members honored

JANESVILLE - Green County residents were recognized among more than 75 people as members of the new Heritage Society by the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin.

Recipients were honored at the Community Foundation's annual meeting on Oct. 17.

The Heritage Society members include the following residents: Marien Burkhardt, Monroe, deceased; Linda and Rudy Gebhardt, Argyle; Dick Jaeger, Blanchardville; Hans and Helen Kneubuhler, Monroe; Robert and Sonja (Reinmann) Rackow, Monroe; Richard Rote, Monroe; Michael and Norah Sanders, Monroe; Elda Schiesser, New Glarus; Linda E. Schiesser, New Glarus; Curt Schwerin, Monroe; Ron and Jennifer Spielman, Monroe; and Joanne and Michael Weeden, Monroe

Heritage Society members are charitable donors who have established an endowed fund with the Community Foundation during their lifetime or have advised the staff that a gift to a Community Foundation fund is in their estate plans.

Through its grant-making and scholarship funds, the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, supports a wide array of interests across the region including the arts, economic development, education, the environment, health and human services, and historic preservation. It offers assistance to individual donors and to communities seeking to establish charitable funds. The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin is based in Janesville.
