MONROE - Trent Henning will start Monday as the new executive director of the Green County Family YMCA.
The YMCA search committee began a nationwide search process in November 2017 with the support of Y-USA. The search yielded 20 candidates, which were narrowed down to four strong candidates who were scheduled for the final interview in February.
Henning holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a Master of Science in recreation and athletic administration from Western Kentucky University and nine years of experience working with youth programs, coaching and building partnerships.
A strategic thinker with vision and new ideas, high standards, strong values, a solid work ethic and a supportive family, with strong ties in Green County, Henning is passionate about the mission of the YMCA. The YMCA board is confident that Henning will be a leader who strengthens relationships and builds new partnerships as the program directors and board work together to promote the mission of the YMCA.
