Heins to perform, celebrate CD release

MONROE - The Swiss Heritage Series of the Turner Hall of Monroe will host a free concert by local accordionist, Del Heins, as part of an open house to celebrate the release of his first CD titled "Three Yanks Polka." The concert is set for 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 in Turner Hall's Grand Hall. Heins will perform tunes from the CD, along with guest accordionists Henry Blumer, Ruth Marty, Diane Whitney, John Waelti and Bobbie Edler, and banjo players Ted Peterson and Jerry Hastings.
