The Black Hawk Land Judging Team placed first in the state contest and will move onto the National Land and Range Evaluation Contest May 5-7, 2020 and will represent the State of Wisconsin.

This is the first time in Black Hawk FFA history where they have won the state land evaluation contest and only the sixth team in program history to qualify for the National Contest. Most recently the group competed at nationals in 2018. This is the second time in three years the Black Hawk team has qualified for nationals. At the state contest all of Black Hawk’s members finished in the top 10 individually. Sam Meier took second place as an individual and Bailey Abney took third place as an individual. Bailey Hagen placed eight and Tatum Baumgartner placed tenth.
