DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Association of Home and Community Education (HCE) is sponsoring a forum on What's happening in Lafayette County, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 in the Darlington High School cafeteria.

A panel of local professional experts will give brief presentations on a variety of topics of local interest and concern. Presenters include Jack Sauer, Lafayette County Board chairman; Sherry Kudronowicz, hospital administrator; and Nita Burke, Johnson Public Library director.

Topics include an overview of the demographics and economy, business development and opportunities and the importance of broadband to our County.

The event will provide an update on some of the topics addressed in the Taking the Pulse of Lafayette County program presented in March 2008.

The program is part of the ongoing educational efforts of Lafayette County HCE. For more information, contact the UW Extension Office at (608) 776-4820.
