MONROE - The Green County Home and Community Education Inc. will have up to four scholarships, in the amount of $300 each, available.
Scholarships are for any graduate of a Green County high school, a Green County resident, a relative of Green County HCE member or a member or graduate of a Green County 4-H Club.
Applications needs to meet one of the following requirements: applicant needs to take advantage of continuing education opportunities or attend a four-year public or private college or a technical college within the state. The scholarship will be awarded to the applicant when four semesters of college is completed or is at least halfway through the technical college course.
Applications forms may be obtained from the Green County Extension Office, 2841 6th St.; by calling 608-328-9440; or online at green.uwex.edu. Completed applications need to include the application form, which will include a statement of need and three names of references, and a letter describing personal goals and objectives.
Scholarship applications need to be postmarked by Sunday, March 31. Announcement of the scholarship recipient will be made in May.
