DARLINGTON - The Lafayette County Association for Home and Community Education sponsored a walk to raise awareness for the Associated Country Women of the World and to raise funds for Pennies for Friendship on Saturday, April 27.
HCE members and friends walked the river path through Darlington. Donations were accepted the day of the walk.
At the end of April, women throughout the world participate in the annual Women Walk Around the World for ACWW. The Associated Country Women of the World, formed in 1933, is an international organization that represents countrywomen and homemaker volunteer societies in 70 countries throughout the world, forming a network of more than 9 million women.
