ARGYLE - The annual Harvest Mission Festival hosted by Adams Lutheran Church, N7148 County A, Argyle, is set for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15. Featured speaker will be Blanchardville businessman Paul Saether, who traveled with eight other local men to Baton Rouge after the Katrina Hurricane devastation to assist in rebuilding a home for a young family. Saether will be share a video and stories from the journey, some of the devastation from the hurricanes that battered the Gulf area in 2006 as well as the experience of Cajun culture and cuisine.

Rev. Mark Gruner and the men's fellowship group of the Pecatonica Lutheran Parish organized the trip.

The work has continued through a group that worked two days at Green County Habitat for Humanity worksites this summer and hopes to build a Habitat for Humanity house in Blanchardville during 2010.

A project table will feature baked goods and craft items for sale from the women of the ELCA. Everyone is invited for refreshment and fellowship following the program.
