Harvest Fest Oct. 13 in New Glarus

NEW GLARUS — Those who are interested in experiencing what life was like in the 19th century in New Glarus should consider attending Harvest Fest from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Swiss Historical Village & Museum, 612 7th Ave., New Glarus. 

There will be a variety of demonstrations including cheesemaking, quilting, blacksmithing, basket making, beekeeping and sauerkraut making. All 14 of the buildings that comprise the Swiss Historical Village will be open and guides will share the unique history of New Glarus and 19th century immigration.

A special reduced admission will be charged during Harvest Fest.

Owned and operated by the non-profit New Glarus Historical Society, the Swiss Historical Village & Museum is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week through Oct. 15. Visit our website at: swisshistoricalvillage.org.
