PADUCAH, Ky. - Mary Alice Hart, Monroe, was named a semifinalist for the 2012 American Quilter's Society Show and Contest that will take place Oct. 3-6 at the Iowa Events Center.
Hart was chosen to display the quilt "White Zinnias: for Goodness," along with 184 others in the annual contest.
First-, second- and third-place prizes will be named in five categories along with five overall awards including Best of Show. More than $44,000 will be granted. Winners will be announced prior to the opening of the show on the AQS website.
