Guest preacher for World Communion Sunday

MONROE — The Rev. Kerri Parker, executive director of the Wisconsin Council of Churches, will be the guest preacher Sunday, Oct. 6, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 1724 14th St., Monroe.

Her appearance here is part of World Communion Sunday and she will preach at the 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. services at the church. She will also preach at the 10:30 a.m. service at the St. Clare Friedensheim Chapel.

All of the services are open to the public. Parker brings a strong faith commitment to the ecumenical ministry of the Wisconsin Council of Churches and has demonstrated leadership in leading complex coalitions toward a common goal. Prior to serving as executive director of the Wisconsin Council of Churches, she served as pastor of McFarland United Church of Christ and as executive director of the YWCA Rock County in Janesville. She and her family live in McFarland.
