This photograph of the 1924 Green County rural school graduates was taken by Frautschy Studios at the Court House. The graduation exercises were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31 in the Lincoln School gymnasium. John N. Burns was the superintendent of the Green County schools. Graduates came from many of the 117 rural schools that were still operating at the time, including Juda, Browntown, and the Model School in the Green County Normal School. These graduates would have been born about 1910. If you might be able to recognize someone in this photograph, please let Matt Figi know at 608-325-6503 or mfigi48@tds.net. A special thanks to Mary Jane Robertson for the graduation program, which contained a list of names of these graduates.
