MONROE - Green County library events and programs for February are as follows:

• Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., Albany, is open from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Weekly preschool storytime is 9:30 a.m. Tuesdays. The Adult Book Club meets 7 p.m. Feb. 12 to discuss "Sugarplum Dead" by Carolyn Hart. Discussion leader is Catherine Blakemore. The After School Book Club for fourth- through sixth-grade students meets from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 21 to discuss the book "Clementine" by Sara Pennypacker. • The Belleville Public Library is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday. Closed from 1 to 2 p.m. weekdays. Storytimes are 10 a.m. on Fridays, Feb.15, 22, 29.

• The Brodhead Memorial Public Library is open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Wireless Internet service available. Storytime for children ages 3 and up is 10 a.m. Fridays. Family storytime is 6:30 p.m. Feb. 18. The library board will meet at 4 p.m. Feb. 19.

• The Monroe Public Library is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

- The Book Discussion Group meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 19. This month's book is "Sammy's House" by Kristin Gore.

- The Year of Mysteries Reading Group meets at 2 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Behring Senior Center of Monroe; this month's book is "The Circle" by Peter Lovesey. To participate in the group, pre-register at the senior center. Books are available at the senior center and the library. - Toddler Time, a learning-to-listen program for children 18 months to 3 years old, is 10 a.m. on the first through fourth Mondays of the month. Picture Book Stories for children 3 to 6 years old is 10 a.m. Thursdays.

• The Monticello Public Library is open from 9:30 a.m. to noon Monday, 1 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday (closed over the noon hour), 1 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday (closed over the noon hour) and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. Preschool Storytime is 10 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesdays. Chick Flicks at 6:30 p.m. on Mondays in February. Book club reviews "The Heart of a Woman" by Maya Angelou at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16. Books available at the library.

• The New Glarus Public Library is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

- Pre-school storytime with stories, songs and activities is 10 a.m. Fridays.

- The Library Youth Council meets 7 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Village Hall Community Room for their general meeting and then discuss S.E. Hinton's "The Outsiders." Copies available at the library.

- The New Glarus Public Library Board of Trustees monthly meeting is 6:30 p.m. Feb. 12 in the Village Hall Board Room.

- The Adult Book Discussion group discusses "The Known World" by Edward P. Jones at 7 p.m. Feb. 13.

- An Early Release Day event includes face painting, popcorn and a movie from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 25 in the Village Hall Community Room.
