Green County Library Board seeks trustees

MONROE - The Green County Library Board seeks citizens interested in serving as trustees. Trustees collaboratively protect and advance library services in the county through governance of the county library budget, promote literacy and lifelong learning, and advocate for current and future library services.

Interested citizens are committed to library services; able to attend regularly scheduled meetings; and willing to become familiar with Wisconsin library law, standards, principles and practices. Commitment to freedom of expression and inquiry for all people is essential. Libraries serving Green County are in Albany, Belleville, Brodhead, Monroe, Monticello and New Glarus.

The Green County Library Board meets the fourth Monday of February, April, June, August and October at libraries throughout the county. Terms are for three years and individuals must be confirmed by the Green County Board of Supervisors. Interested individuals must be at least 18 years old and reside within Green County.

If interested in serving as a library board trustee, email current Green County Library Board president Gary Neuenschwander at garyneuenschwander@gmail.com by Feb. 23.
