MONROE - The Green County Genealogical Society will hold its meeting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2 in the second-floor meeting room of the Monroe Public Library, 925 16th Ave.

The meeting will feature Michael Hanley, who will speak on the genealogical search for Noah Pratt, circa 1776, using his tools as a starting point.

Hanley has pursued fine woodworking over 35 years. Through the course of his work, he studies, collects and uses antique tools on his bench.

His book "Motorcycles, Planes and Revolution" is about a man who built homes and furniture in the 1770s just outside Boston. The book will be available at the meeting.

The meeting is open to the public.
