MONROE - Members of the Green County 4-H Foods and Nutrition project participated June 10 in the annual Foods Revue event at the Green County Justice Center. Foods Revue is considered a pre-fair event of the Green County Fair and is judged by a licensed fair judge, with ribbons awarded to the youth.
Youth are divided into four levels based on grade and may bring one food item and one educational exhibit to be judged. Examples of project options this year were tailgate party meal, invent a snack, any food using watermelon and a main dish salad.
This year's participants were Devri Bennett of Cheese Country Clovers; Simon Blohowiak of Washington Center; Hannah Broger of Washington Center; Mara Dickson of Browntown Busy Beavers; Skye Dickson of Browntown Busy Beavers; Katelyn Eyler of Washington Center; Emily Goers of Washington Center; Taetum Hoesly of Clarence Bridge Pioneers; Leilah King of Hiawatha; Alexis Moen of Browntown Busy Beavers; Marissa Vosberg of Young Americans; and Kierra Zahradka of Clarno.
